Keep it there - Keep your app running

Keeping a live app healthy is its own job, and the rules of your field do not stop applying the day it goes live. Security updates, hands-on hours each month for changes to the app I deployed, and a regular look at your hosting bill, from $750 a month. I already know how your app is put together, so none of it starts from scratch.

Keep your app running

The deployment ends. The app does not.

Keeping a live app healthy is its own job. Security updates land whether or not anyone applies them, the rules of your field do not stop applying the day you launch, and the small changes you want are the ones that never get made because there is nobody to make them.

From $750 a month, priced by the hours the month covers.

What You Get

  • Your live app kept secure and up to date. The updates that matter get applied, and I tell you which ones and why.
  • Hands-on hours each month for changes and improvements to the app I deployed. How many depends on which month you pick, and it is written into the agreement.
  • A daily check on your app included, with the monthly report, at no extra charge.
  • A regular look at your hosting bill, so you are not paying for capacity you never use. That is a Cloud Cost Review every three months, included rather than billed on its own.

I already know how your app is put together, because I put it there. None of it starts from scratch, and none of the hours go on someone reading your code for the first time.

What It Costs

Hours a month A month
2 hours $750
5 hours $1,500
10 hours $3,000

Everything above is in all three. The hours are the only difference.

Start on the smallest one. It covers the updates, the daily check, the quarterly look at the bill, and enough time for the changes that come up on a live app. If two months in a row run out of hours, I will say so and we can move up.

You can cancel at the end of any month.

What Happens to the Hours

They are hours of my work, not a ticket allowance. A small change, a question answered, a setting adjusted, a look at something that seems off — all of it comes out of the same hours.

Anything larger than the hours left is quoted before it starts, at the rates on the change request process page. You see the price and decide. Nothing gets started on the assumption that you would have said yes.

Unused hours do not roll over. A quiet month is what you are paying for.

Who This Is For

An app I deployed. This is not a rescue service for somebody else's setup — I would be learning the app on your money, and the price would reflect that.

If your app is already live and I did not deploy it, start with a daily check on your app or a free review, and we can talk about the rest once I have seen it.

The smaller version, if the hours are more than you need, is a daily check on your app at /month on its own. Nothing is fixed under that one — I tell you what I found and what it would cost, and you decide.

Getting Started

Tell me which month fits, and I'll come back with the agreement and what it covers.

Twenty minutes, and no pitch.

I'll tell you what I'd fix first in what you've built, and why. No pitch.
